Community Empowerment is a specialised Development and Educational Consultancy supporting Co-operative Education and new forms of Co-operative and Mutual organisations. We specialise in Citizenship, Social Enterprise, and co-operative structures, co-operative organisational models, co-operative behaviour models including ‘co-operative games’ and co-operative team building. Our primary aim is the application of co-operative and mutual solutions for community empowerment needs. Our consultancy services are available to any person, group of people, incorporated or non-incorporated body, including schools, colleges and universities, local and national Governments that want to develop citizenship education and apply co-operative and mutual solutions to community empowerment. Co-operatives Southampton is a not-for-profit-distribution common ownership organisation owned and democratically controlled by co-operatives in the Southampton Area. Its formal objectives are: to promote job creation and job retention and urban regeneration through the development of co-operative enterprises in the area and to provide appropriate support facilities and to relieve poverty and advance education. it provides services on a project-by-project basis, and is always keen to collaborate on projects to enable wider provision of its services to people in the communities of Southampton and the surrounding area and provides a full co-operative development service.
